Well, not exactly, but we do have a new look!
During the month of June we are moving and upgrading the webservers for all of our sites – Mainstream included! It has given us the opportunity to give a new more dynamic look to the site, and with it will be a series of new pages being added.
During the change over, you should not find any disruption to the services, but you will see some changes. Why not keep up to date with what is happening, on the web, in the ministry and with our partners? Just use the box below to subscribe to updates and new posts. Its free and you can unsubscribe at any time.
God bless!

Starting next week, Mainstream is pleased to begin a new phase in their calling, with Mission UK 2009. There is little doubt in the minds of any believers who have an eye on the news and an ear open to the voice of the Holy Spirit that there are radical changes in the world – changes that also herald a change in the spiritual realms as well as the natural.
Here in the UK and throughout most of the Western nations, we are seeing two main primary trends emerging:
- There is a greater move by secularists and humanists to try and “sideline” Christianity – in fact it is the stated purpose of the European Union hierarchy to “remove all traces of God from public life”. As part of this we are seeing Christian’s rights being subordinated to the rights of other faiths, secularists and activists promoting homosexual/bisexual/transgender rights – all in the name of “Diversity and Equality(!?)”
- Within the Christian Community we are seeing a serious decline in the membership of many churches from conservative, traditional denominations, and a significant increase in the membership of evangelical charismatic/pentecostal groupings, churches and denominations. This is particularly true of churches and groupings that are lead by ministers from Africa and Asia, which have increased dramatically in number over the past few years.
Neither of these trends should surprise us, or concern us.

How do we give? When do we give? When do we give thanks? When do we give joyful praise to God?
Giving is an essential part of the Gospel. Throughout Scripture, and especially in the New Testament, we are instructed in the benefits of giving - beyond what has been called our ‘tithe’. It is the seed that brings blessing, when done with the right motives. We are to give whenever we see need and we have the means. (1 John 3:17; James 2:15-16)
In Acts 2:44-45 and Acts 4:32-35 it clearly shows that giving, and sacrificial giving was a central practice of the early Church, as important as teaching, worship and fellowship.
Cheerful giving, even when the giver is bogged down in poverty themselves, releases not just blessing, but joy. It comes from a heart filled with a Love for the Lord and trust in His love and provision – and God never fails!
